#GrillPork: 5 Tips For Cooking Pork Chops On The Grill Healthily As Possible

by: April D. Byrd

Pork is definitely a food we want to make sure is cooked all the way through when we're cooking it. Here are 5 Tips for making sure your pork chops are healthy and well cooked.

Make sure they're all the way done:
Use a meat thermometer. The recommended temperature for pork by the USDA is 145 degrees. Pork is pretty easy to dry out, so try not to go above 145 degrees by transferring it to a cooking board when it reaches 135. The heat within the chops will cook it the rest of the way.

Buy The Best:
When buying any type of meat or eggs etc. Make sure that you're getting the meat that was farmed raised on a healthy diet. You are what you eat.

Make sure to thaw them out if frozen:
For at least 30 minutes let the pork chops thaw out because if you don't they'll have a tendency to overcook. No one wants that.

Wait a few minutes:
Even though you might wanna dig in and get to the action of eating right away. wait about 10 minutes before you eat so that the juices in the meat can be redistributed into it. The best pork chops are juicy, tender pork chops!

Don't use too much salt:
Too much sodium on anything might not be all that good for you. Pork is already rich in flavor. No need to take it to the next level. Enjoy it's natural flavor by not putting to much seasoning on your chops.

Hope these tips come in handy!! Enjoy your summer grilling!!
